CHURCH UPDATE

The Church of England issued the following:

‘In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice. Churches should remain open where possible but with no public worship services taking place.’

The Bramerton Group church buildings are still open for private prayer and reflection, with recommending following the “social distancing”, “self-distancing”, hygiene and handwashing guidelines.

In addition, all of the various groups (Bible study, Fellowship, lunch clubs etc) also cease with immediate effect. The Lent Course has already been cancelled.

“These are uncertain and worrying times, but we are not alone; we are a community and it is essential that we all remain strong, follow official advice, look out for each other and above all, trust in God’s love and care for us. We are here to offer help and support in whatever way we can. If you are concerned for yourself or for someone else, please do contact me by phone or email,” said The Revd Chris Ellis.  Tel: 01508 484174.  Email: chris.ellis23@btinternet.com
