Alpington and Yelverton have a recently revamped children’s play area, on the playing field behind the village hall.
Village Pond
Our pond’s renovation was completed at the end of 2020, a project which was managed by the parish council and supported by the Community Benefit Fund. It needed dredging and clearing so that it could continue to be enjoyed by residents into the future.
It now has more water in it than it has for many decades, and the new hedges around the edge have been specifically selected for the local wildlife and situation.

Alpington Village Hall is a recently refurbished hall available for hire for parties, committee meetings, clubs and other social events.

For the safety and wellbeing of villagers’ and visitors, The village has two defibrillators, one within the village hall entrance (pictured) and one outside the school, located by the main gate.
Solar Farm
There is a solar farm located just outside Yelverton village. The Parish Council were very much involved in its development, by leading the community’s consultation at the time. Each year the Parish Council receives a good sum of money from this which is used to help fund local activities and projects.
