Welcome to Alpington with Yelverton Village Hall

Our Village Hall has recently been refurbished and is available ‘for hire’ for parties, committee meetings, clubs and other social events.

The hall is situated in South Norfolk and serves the villages of Alpington, Yelverton and Bergh Apton.

Being just 5 miles from Norwich and 1.5 miles from Poringland, the Hall is conveniently located.

Facilities

We have a large main hall, which you can see in the images below.

The vilage hall also has its own kitchen, dining area and 3 sets of (recently refurbished) WC’s.

There is also a small meeting room (overlooking the garden) accommodating 25 seated.

There is a large car park at the front and rear of the hall, we also have disabled level access into the hall (as the main entrance is stepped approach).

At the rear there is a small garden area and an excellent recently refurbished children’s play area with swings, slide, climbing castle and basketball net.

Pricing

£10.50 per hour for regular user groups, fund raising and private functions.

Business/trade bookings £21.00 per hour (with half hour slots charged at the full hourly rate).

Friday Carpet Bowls

A very friendly group meeting every Friday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

We have a break for a cup of tea and a catch up of all the local news. All are welcome and we will turn you into a carpet bowls expert.

The Women’s Independent Group

Bergh Apton, Alpington and Yelverton TWIG.

We hold monthly meetings on the 1st Wednesday evening of every month, except for August when there is a garden meeting.

Three times a year we also hold themed social evenings in the Village Hall.

Activities that take place outside of the Village Hall include:

Ramblers group (monthly)
Scrabble group
Craft class (once a fortnight)
Outings (5 – 6 times a year): visiting places of interest, including educational and theatrical in Norwich and beyond.

Subscriptions are paid yearly. Our calendar year starts on the 1st Wednesday in February.

All women of any age are welcome.
